The Book & Blanket Players have been producing youth musicals-in-a-week summer theatre for 16 years in Keene Valley. This year the theatrical adventure continues with Anastasia: the Musical.

Quartet North was formed by four musicians and friends that all went to the Crane School of Music in the 1980s and have since gone on to decades long professional music careers. Guitarist Paul Meyers, a native of Potsdam, NY, was a mainstay in the NYC Jazz and Brazilian music scene for many years, and has been described in the NY Times as “one of the most eloquent jazz guitarists since Kenny Burrell.” Pianist Larry Ham has been a veteran soloist and sideman for many great Jazz legends, including Slide Hampton and Illinois Jacquet, and has performed at jazz festivals, in concerts and nightclubs throughout the USA, Europe, West Africa, Canada, India, Brazil and Japan.

Vocalist and songwriter Gabrielle Stravelli blends musical traditions with a modern, genre-bending sensibility. Her tremendous swing feel and gift for lyric interpretation have led to a career defined by joyful performances and a deep connection with audiences, and have made her a mainstay of the NYC jazz scene. Unexpected, highly individual choices are her trademark.

Pianist Diana Fanning has toured throughout the United States and Europe performing to great critical acclaim. As an affiliate artist of Middlebury College for decades, she is a beloved concert artist in Vermont and has been featured numerous times on Vermont Public Television and Radio. Her program for EBFA includes music by Beethoven, Debussy, and Chopin.
