Henhouse Prowlers
With many of their wildest dreams strung across more than two decades together, the Prowlers' sight remains fixed on the future.
It’s been 20 years well spent. The kinship between Ben Wright (banjo, vocals), Chris Dollar (guitar, vocals), Jon Goldfine (bass, vocals), and Jake Howard (mandolin, vocals) is palpable, the four having traveled to places most would never predict. Using these experiences as a foundation, there’s truly no limit to where this Chicago-based quartet will go – literally anywhere.
Stanton Street Duo
Praised for their evocative performances and intense musical chemistry, the Stanton Street Duo attracts a diverse range of audiences. Their electrifying renditions of traditional and contemporary tango music make for dynamic and unique experiences that connect listeners to a reimagined setting of the style. Their pioneering approach has led to the creation of their own original works and newly commissioned pieces for this distinctive instrumental combination.
Susan Werner
Over the course of her twenty five year career, Susan Werner has earned a reputation as “one of the most innovative songwriters working today” (Chicago Tribune). With formidable chops on guitar (she began playing at age 5) and piano (she was a guest on Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz), along with a graduate degree in voice performance, her shows are a one-woman master class in musicianship.
Meadowmount in the Valley
We are pleased to continue our annual tradition of presenting the amazing young musicians from the famed Meadowmount School of Music. It seems that every year these emerging artists present a performance even more beautiful and impressive than the previous year!
